Long Waits on Metro Line 12 Cause Frustration

Today, Line 12 of the Mexico City Metro has reported a high influx of users, causing long waits at the stations. Despite the official report from the Collective Transportation System (STC) indicating a wait time of only seven minutes, passengers claim to have waited over 40 minutes to board the trains.

Metro users in Mexico City have expressed their annoyance and frustration through social media, sharing images and videos showing the large influx of people at stations like Mixcoac, Atlalilco, Olivos, Tláhuac, among others, where the waits are longer.

In response to user complaints, the STC informed that they were sending additional trains to the busiest stations to cope with the high demand. Although no further details about the situation were given, users were asked to allow the free closing of doors and the disembarking of passengers before boarding the trains.

In the midst of user dissatisfaction, the Mexico City Metro has attempted to respond to the situation on Line 12, where a high influx was recorded on Monday, March 3. Despite the official information indicating a wait time of 10 minutes, users have reported much longer waits, causing discomfort among passengers.
